แนวคิดทั่วไปทางชีววิทยา สมบัติ ลักษณะจำเพาะ และกระบวนการพื้นฐานของสิ่งมีชีวิต หัวข้อสำคัญ ได้แก่ การจัดระเบียบโครงสร้างและหน้าที่ของเซลล์ สรีรวิทยาที่เกี่ยวกับคน การสืบพันธุ์ การเจริญวิวัฒนาการ นิเวศวิทยา พฤติกรรมของสัตว์ และความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ
